I am really looking forward to the AGM!! It looks like it is going to be quite the day. I plan on asking some questions about our scope changing. I mean, I already have my IV starts, but I hear that we are going to be doing IV medications, and hanging blood and blood products and more....Are we going to have to learn these new skills in bits and pieces, or all at once? I wonder if the association is able to answer some of these questions for me?? I know I'll be there to find out, especially since it is only $15.00 to go.

Time and time again I hear from LPN's that are new in this profession hoping to find that steady job that will make ends meet. They come to work when ever the phone rings because they don't know when it will ring again. When at work the unsuspecting LPN convides in his/her co-worker that he/she is proud to be an LPN and deserves to be a part of the interdisciplinary team, only to find out that Mary is an RN and works as an LPN on her off days at this site. So in other words, Mary holds two lines: one as an RN and one as a LPN. You tell me what is fair......How would you feel??

Hi and thank you for posting this response. I have uploaded the AGM registration form today and a "Top 6 Reasons you should join the Association" so please pass it on to as many LPNs. We need your support. Look forward to any questions you have at the AGM for sure.
